As the Student Support Specialist at Beye School my number one priority is student success. Our anti-bullying program STAND (Students Taking Action in New Directions)promotes student success through responsibilities including helping those who are bullied, including others in play and telling adults at school AND at home if they witness bullying. The Oak Park Police Department and the Illinois Violence Prevention Authority support us with training and funding for a successful program. Our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) program also focuses on student success through the "5 Be's" which have become the new Beye Laws. We want students to be respectful, be responsible, be safe, be problem solvers and peacemakers. Please read my blog for further information on these programs as well as tips you can use with your child.
